Danube Campaign: Turn 9

With just a few days remaining in the campaign, the French have finally captured Ratisbon, one of their two objectives. But to replicate Napoleon's historical success, our French players would somehow need to also affect the capture of Landshut with only four days to go. The entire Austrian army stands in their way on the road to Landshut, setting the table for what should be the campaign's ultimate showdown. When and where will the epic battle happen? 

APRIL 23, Turn 9

Weather Report: Clear skies

​Journal: Detaching a force to garrison Ratisbon, the French proceeded to march south via the Eggmuhl road. The advance was expertly hampered by effective use of Austrian cavalry and recon elements, slowing Napoleon's columns. Archduke Charles seemed content with his chosen ground for the main army and calmly waited for the enemy to come to him.
